Over 70 stars from film, TV, music and the arts have made unique, postcard sized artworks, which we are raffling ‘blind’ to raise funds to build an arts centre in Kibera, one of the poorest Kenyan slums. Proceeds will also go towards our 2017 children’s educational arts program in Kenya and rural Malawi.
Zoe Saldana enlists the help of Stephen Hawking to solve a quantum riddle in order to get Simon Pegg’s cat back. This follows Paul Rudd’s epic quantum chess match with Stephen Hawking.
A never-before-seen deleted sequence from Star Wars: The Force Awakens has revealed the fate of Unkar Plutt, the blobfish-like junk dealer who made Rey’s life miserable on the desert world of Jakku.
As fans of the movie already know, Rey escaped Plutt’s clutches when she, Finn, and BB-8 stole the Millennium Falcon while fleeing from the First Order. Plutt (played by Simon Pegg) was last seen shaking his fists at the vanishing starship and crying out, “That’s mine!”
The theft of a prized vehicle proved to be enough comeuppance for the character, but this newly released deleted scene, available on the upcoming 3-D Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release, shows that director and co-writer J.J. Abrams originally had an even more brutal ending in mind for the side villain. (Those who read the movie’s novelization already have a hint of what’s to come.)
“With Star Trek Beyond opening in theaters this weekend, the other day I landed an exclusive video interview with Simon Pegg and Karl Urban. Since they’ve been answering a lot of the same questions about Star Trek, plus the fact that I didn’t want to talk about spoilers from the movie, I decided to ask some fun questions. We talked about what they collect, favorite video game consoles, Pegg’s Harrison Ford picture, what they’d like to see in a Star Wars anthology movie, Pete’s Dragon, Thor: Ragnarok and a lot more. And while I think the entire interview is a lot of fun, I strongly suggest watching the last minute or two where they try and out franchise each other. Trust me, it’ll make you laugh.”
Excited to announce that Simon’s working onboard the USS Omaze to beam one of YOU to the Star Trek Beyond premiere! You’ll walk the red carpet, meet the cast and filmmakers, AND support a good cause in the process. Give her all she’s got…
