Hecky Nash is supposed to be an old childhood friend of Mickey Cohen. Hecky used Mickey’s connection to the Mob to get comic gigs at nightclubs in L.A. Unfortunately, he wasn’t a very good comic and ended up at third-rate joints before he blackmailed Mickey’s boss, Ben Siegel.
